Bert Jansch (November 3 1943 - ) is a Scottish folk musician and foundation member of the band Pentangle. Natural around Glasgow, he has sometimes been characterized as a British Bob Dylan although this is misleading in that Jansch's better function has universally been basically instrument-caused unlike Dylan's which is primarily lyric-depending. He was heavy infuenced by Davey Graham. His function influenced such creative person when Johnny Marr, Bernard Butler, Led Zeppelin and Neil Young, and earned him the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2001 BBC Folk Awards. When you took his 1970's folk period of time, guitar player Dave Ellis was referred to as existence 'A Just released Bert Jansch'. Since 1995, Bert has appeared oft at a "12 Bar Club" around Denmark Street, London. "Live at the 12 Bar" was originally the bootleg, however was of studio standard, & issued officially around 1996. Around 2002 Bert, Bernard & Johnny "Guitar" Hodge performed survive together at a Jazz Cafe, London.
